This is my cousin's 57, he just graduated HS. He did just about all he can do on the chassis and he is building a rotisserie for the body. It has a 283 with power pac heads and 4 barrel with everything date code correct He is running a M22 and posi rearend. Also rack and pinion, disc brakes up front, and CPP arms.

Re: Project Blue Goose
As of today the rolling frame is only a 10 minute drive from my house
I am patiently waiting for some parts from Porterbuilt I am gonna clean all the grease and oil off of the tranny and see about getting it fixed I have an addiction with hubcaps http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=473706 I have more caps than I could shake a stick at but I can't stop myself from buying more

Re: Project Blue Goose
i understand... hub caps all have there own story really. if you can tell what scratch came from what and what that dent could have been caused by you can imagine what happend when those caps got there "character", really cool stuff actually.

Re: Project Blue Goose
Got my Porterbuilt boxes for the rear suspension Not sure what I want to do up front I originally was gonna run dropped coil springs and 2-1/2" Bell Tech spindles. But I would like to get the wheels centered so then there are only a few options.
1 - Mild Dropmember then you need to go with R@P, tubular A-arms, air bags and different spindles. 2 - Porterbuilt custom upper and lower tubular A-arms but you need to run air bags and different spindles. 3 - Hotckins lower A-arms and you can go either coil springs or airbags. I am going to run 15" wheels so Nate said the Bell Tech spindles won't work because they are 2-1/2" drop.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I'm knocking out the rivets in the tranny crossmember and some misc. brackets and I'll bolt them back in after paint. It will also make it easy if I decide to go with an automatic.
I still have to cut the notch and take out the stock TA crossmember. Then a lot of drilling
