Bummer on the axle, but I suppose its better to find it and fix it now before you are out driving around and it decides to grenade.

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
Was at the shop this morning he was about to chop off the frame from the cab back. He had some 2x4 set up there getting a idea what he is going to do. Was standing there eyeballing it when I showed up. Its getting a complete back half Hes going to grind and sand the welds so its all seamless..

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
few pictures from today.. I really like this second version of the backhalf a lot better..I think the cut and weld style looks alot better on this truck.. Ava Mae Hot Rods and I decided the other one was just a little too space age looking and this would look better with what I have planed. Remember these pics are in progress. Not fully welded yet and haven't finished the transition from the stock frame to new rails.. When all the links and everything are in its going to look good..All welds are going to be left exposed on this one.. Setup to lay on a 30" tire

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
Got new front and rear brake hoses. The old ones were getting pretty bad. Also got myself that tranny gasket to fix the BAD fluid leak until I get more $ to get a rebuilt trans.. The tranny works fine I just figure I might as well replace it. I already replaced everything else.. plus mileage is unknown.. The engine used to leak BAD too but since I had it rebuilt doesnt leak a drop
I am 80% sure I am going to switch the front to 6 lug disk (i am on the fence about what wheels I want to run) I will put on new rotors pads and calipers when I do that. Will prob end up putting in a aftermarket MC and booster too.. |
