I had my gauges in it, then when I sold it he put an aluminum plate over it with a stereo in it. I'm not sure yet what I'm gonna do with it.

If you havnt made your mind up 100% on headers i got another option for you. I bought mine for my bbc off a board member here, they are 2 inch primarys with 3.5 collectors. Very well built and not one bit hangs below the frame at all. If your interested let me know ill give ya some details and pics.

I am interested in checking them out! Any info would be great! Are they custom built? Any coating or just paint? Price? Thanks a bunch!

I'd also be intrested in those header options, Stoker. Newtz, thats a great looking truck. I look forward to looking on here for your progress. My 68 was also my dads truck. He bought it from the first owner in 1970, been in the family ever since. It was used as a work truck in the construction business till about '83 when I started driving it. Finally after about 250,000 on the original 327 I had to park it. Been a project ever since, HA! Funny story about the 327. When I took it to the machine shop, the guy looked at the crank and asked me what this engine came out of. The crank was the forged steel, big journal kind. My dad had taken the truck back to dealer shortly after he bought it because it had a "miss". The dealer fixed it by changing the camshaft out. Flash forward to the machine shop, steel crank, "fuelie" heads, the cam being changed years before because to my non-hot rod dad thought it had a miss ? Was my truck made on a Friday at quitting time and someone threw in a 327 destined for a vette insted of a c-10 ? That's my story and I'm sticking to it !

I bought the headers bare, because one of my buddies coats things so could get it done cheaper then i could of payed the guy i bought them from.

You could say they are custom made. This guy was having problems finding full lengths while layin frame on bags. I bought em for about 500 i cant remember exact. I know it seems like alot of money but the fit is awesome. They are .5 inch ABOVE the frame, nice thick flanges, and had the 2 inch primarys i was looking for.

I cant get some better pics tomorrow also if you are interested, also i can get you his contact info.

Just sitting there. I was laid off for two weeks, so I didn't wanna fork out the money for headers till I went back to work. Need to trim my frame and install motor mounts. Then get the headers and a few small parts.

Finally I have an update! I got home from work today and there was a set of headers on my front porch, score! I was so pumped I went out and notched the 67 frame to allow for the new big block. Here's a few pics for your enjoyment, and mine haha.
