Re: Truck names?
the name of mine is WP. the first 72 i bought about 5 years ago i got from a friend named willie paul. it was originally his grandfather's truck. his grandfather and my dad were distantly related. after it sat many years and people kept trying to buy it for scrap i told him i wanted it and i got it cheap. since this truck isn't the same but i had already decided on the name and i ended up using the parts i had aqquired for the original WP on this one i kept the name for this one.

Re: Truck names?
I've had sooooooooooo many since I joined up here it's really
hard to keep track of them all. Since registering I have had 9 rides that I no longer own. (5 Blazers and 4 Trucks) Some of the most "Memorable" have to be "GQ" (The Garage Queen) "Merlot" (Red Wine Colored Jimmy) "Glacier" (Whi/Blu Square Body Blazer) and "Gas Hog" (00 Dually I drove back from CA) The current 4 in the stables are "Betsy" (99 Trailblazer DD we bought new, she keeps going and going) "Pilot" (Wife's 08 Nox Sport that we learned was a "GM" Pilot vehicle) "Burakkubyūtī" (Japaneasy for Black Beauty my Toy Puller) & "Square Vette" (The 72 Blazer that was formerly GQ before I destroyed Her) If I ever quit buying and selling I will own a finished one

Re: Truck names?
PEANUT is what i call mine. It sat parked for 20 years in a yard surrounded with peanut fields. The air breather was packed full of empty peanut shells. The rest of the truck was packed with rat poop. I thought peanut was better choice than poop.

Re: Truck names?
My young neighbor likes to name the vehicles. My EX-64 he named her "Patima" for the funky color primer stages I couldnt make up my mind on.
My 67 chevy c10 that I have owned for over 2 yrs just recently got its first name "Holly" short for the Christmas "Holiday" COLORS it is sporting.

Re: Truck names?
This is 'Rose' the American Beauty. In 1970 the Grateful Dead released an album called "The American Beauty", the album cover has a rose on it.
My truck is a 70' It's made in America It's beautiful and being a cronic pain sufferer I worked through a lot of thorns putting her together.

Re: Truck names?
When I brought my truck home it was ochre, my oldest boy was 5 at the time, and he thought it was orange, and started calling it the "Orange Chief". The name stuck, and when it came time to paint it, it was easy to pick the color!

Re: Truck names?
Mine definitely had to be female since it was so temperamental to start at first and had me hitting my head against the wall in frustration. After she fired up everything rattled so we said she was loose. And the name Lucy stuck.

Re: Truck names?
Mine is called "Baby", or at least that seems to be what I say to her most. Usually its being used like " come on baby you can make it", or "not now baby we're almost home."

Re: Truck names?
I refer to mine in the female gender----actual name depends on my mood at the time!!!!
I always remember a saying that I heard mannny years ago by an old country gent. (Ill change the wording a little to make it more appropriate to post), It is simple and it goes: If its got "boobs" or tires--its gonna cost you money!!! Life has always seemed to work out that way for me!
