Re: 68' Chevy c10
Did you ever find the correct bracket for that booster you got? I've got the same issue with a later model booster (6 hole bracket) going on my '67.

Re: 68' Chevy c10
No I kind of switched my attention to the motor parts, but I think I need the booster from a 70's truck. then get the brackets for that booster if I cant find one with the brackets already on it. The booster I have is from an 85' and the bracket is riveted on. I dont know much about brake boosters, so not sure if you could drill out the rivets and swap brackets or not. sorry I'm no help on this one.

Re: 68' Chevy c10
Ya, after some closer looking and a little more searching on here, late model boosters are a bust for our trucks. I did find a thread where a guy modified one, but it sure seems like a lot of work vs. just getting the one that will bolt on.
Search - Late model power brake booster upgrade I was at the local pick-n-pull today getting the rotors/calipers for my truck and thought I'd grab the booster and prop valve while I was at it. I should have looked a little closer first. I'm out $14, but the worst part was the hornet nest I stirred up. They were mighty angry that I was in there, but I was determined and took it three times before I got the damn thing out! Oh, well - another lesson learned the hard way. Thanks for the feedback on this and good luck with your sweet project!
