Re: 72 Crew cab on trade?
There is not really to many. All i have done to it so far is move the bed forward 1in from the back of the bed and built some stands to tack it to to hold it in place while i build a bed floor. I sold the 20in wheels and put some ralleys i had on it, changed the grille and hood to a 67. Thats pretty much it. I have been waiting till i payed it off to work on it which i actually did last week so its almost time to start tearing into it. I had a buddy of mine come by that has chopped a lot of cars and look at the roof on it and give me an expert opinion on it. He suggests removing the roof skin thats been welded in three pieces and find another skin off of a suburban so i am on the hunt for one of those. I also am going to have to cut and lean the back pillars in on the cab towards the back window opening to get my driprail to line up. Once i get started on all of this i will start a build thread.

Re: 72 Crew cab on trade?
No new pics i havent touched it since the pics i posted, ive been working hot and heavy on my new business. I have collected quite a few parts for it though,( all new rubbers, a 72 factory a/c cab that im going to cut the door jamb and a/c dash out of, new smooth tailgate, new front and rear back glass, new seat upholstery just to name a few). Im still on the hunt for a 67-72 suburban roof i can use but other than that its still the same

Re: 72 Crew cab on trade?
It was cut in three different sections and the middle one is not long enough so where the rear cab section meets the roof dips down. I'm hoping to use a full skin to solve the problem.

Re: 72 Crew cab on trade?
I am thinking about this for the roof skin. What do you guys think. Its the skin off of a 61 chevrolet batwing two door sedan. Its actually 4inches to narrow but i think i can make it work.

Re: 72 Crew cab on trade?
That's kinda what I'm thinking as well. I may still buy the burb roof if the car doesn't go as planned. Then atleast I have a back up
