I hate that about building stuff that's all connected-to-another-part-that-you-thought-you-had-set-up-perfectly-and-now-it-doesn't-fit-and-you-can't-even-reach-it-to-fix-the-dumb-blunder. A pain? ABSOLUTELY. Money suck? For sure. But on those good days (one out of five or so )....well, what can I say.

Restored this 63 beetle to like new condition. Thought about keeping it but couldn't resist the urge to finish the 67.

I sold a set of vintage Mego Star Trek toys. Sold a set of EC Comic hardcover reprints to a guy in France and sold two 1959 Philco Predicta televisions to Universal Studios for use in the Bioshock movie that will probably never get made!

I traded my 55 Star Chief to a guy for his supercharged short bed stepside and cash. As much as I love the truck, the Star Chief was a slick ride.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!
I wish I was able to at least get it driving, but selling it helped me get my life in order as well as the blazer. I'm still looking for another one, but just a daily driver.
Quote:
I still have some parts from the Nova to sell, but I'm holding onto them for when I'm ready for paint on the blazer so I don't end up blowing the dough on something else...ha.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!
1973 Dodge Dart. Would have been cake to finish, but I drove by my truck one day and had to have it. Since I have the same curse for potential like alot of you, I actually had it in the garage before the dart was sold. $7000 later, she still looks the same, but lots of fun to drive. Getting the truck wasn't bad, but when the garage called saying my truck now has posi, that bunched up my better half's panties a bit. She watches that truck like a hawk for dollar signs now.

In 2 1/2 years, I've put about $14K into mine and It still looks the same too. I still get discoureged because "It's never good enough", instead of just getting out and enjoying it. Thanks for some Fresh Perspective!

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!
I have my times of discouragement too, but more often than not it's a result of me. I look at one project and something pops in mind for another. I always have more ideas than time or money, but don't we all.

And Fender's and Jackson's and Taylor's and Martin's....and I've still got the B. C. Rich USA neck thru that I've had since '89 and a vintage '72 Fender Princeton reverb tube amp thats been in the family since it came out of the factory.
