Re: how low can i go?

Pie cutting the upper is way easier than cupping the lower. Are you running the 2 inch bag mount in your lowers? You can probably trim an inch or more (as long as it doesn't rub).

I didn't have a big enough welder at the time I did my arms. The shop charged me $200 to weld everything up. I did all the measuring, cutting, and tacked it all together.

If I was to do it again I would go with MMW budget arms.

Tinydb84, can I get away with only buying mms uppers or just buy the the complete set? I want you to know money is everything. How much drop will I really gain? Is it worth it? Thanks for the help.

Re: how low can i go?

I thought that they sold the arms separately. I guess they only sell the tops. You can try to email and see what the bottoms go for.

Have you tried calling a few shops? The shop I used over here only charges $50 to pie cut uppers if you bring them in all cleaned up and ready to be cut and welded.

Re: how low can i go?

As you know tinydb84, I do most of the work on my truck myself. If there is a particular task I can't accomplish with my skill level, the work/job is subbed out. With that being said and be sure we are on the same page, my suspension needs a few things. I'm guessing, to gain more drop for my front suspension, I must: 1- remove front inner fenders, 2- cup the lower control arms, 3- pie cut the upper control arms, 4-buy porterbuilt control arms upper & lower. We don't have shops I trust in Miami, Florida. The last shop I called to install air bags, front & rear up/down, they told me charged $3500 to 4500. They will provide the equipment. Which is 4 valves, 1 air compressor, 1 (5) gallon air tank, bags installed on the trailing arms. They charge $8000 to $10000 to lay frame. So basically I'm on my own. Those PB arms aren't in my budget now, & I don't really see the reason y someone would invest a lot of money in inferior suspension parts..

Re: how low can i go?

Hello boys n girls. Question. I'm running a single, viair 480c compressor to (1) 5 gallon air tank. There are several vendors on ebay that are selling the viair 444c compressor very cheaply, for $155.00. Would it be a good idea, cause I'm cheap, to buy this compressor to add to my air system? What are the pros and cons to using the viair 444c compressor with my viair 480c compressor? I know the 480c would be a better choice, but I'm cheap. I'm not an expert, but I feel (2) compressors are better than one. Would you just buy another 480c or the 444c and pocket the cash? Thanks for the help. Chime in quick. I want to buy another compressor soon.

Re: how low can i go?

If it's any constalation, it's easier and less troublesome to run a manual air bag set up. Paddle valves, gauges, on bags are great. Easy to install, bags inflate/deflate with no problem, and there are no electrical problems to figure out. I've been using my manual valves for two weeks and I love them. Thanks way2lo2.
