Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Are you going to make Puyallup??? Taking something else??? I'm grounded this year, just trying to get on the road, $$$$ just not enough. Maybe that 6/49 in my wallet is a winner. Truck looks great, we'll cross paths one day. Good luck.

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Yup I hear ya, I've shunned all shows and cruises putting my motor in, August should be attainable, but I'm real slow...cautious. I hear Spokane has a great truck turnout. Look for a super low sedan Model T, black red interior, fenderless, their some friends from Alberni. Hope it goes smoothly.

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Captainfab :
Hey that would be awsome, I have yet to meet anyone from here as of yet... 65pickup Time flies when your doing a build and I not letting another summer go on by with out the big wheels rolling on the ground...if your going to spokane let me know. Update.... Well my 66 long box is in high build and i hope it will be painted by the weekend....So i redid the oak in the bed sanded it all down and stained it.Sent back all the new custom trim they dropped off because i noticed a dent in the tube...so i opened the tube before i signed for it and whamo...3 pieces were toast. 58 short box: Found it in the back of the shop and think i might drag it out tomorrow and decide if i want to sell it or put a engine in it and drive it...or wash it and put it back ? 66 short box: powder coated frame and 375 hp corvette engine sitting under the roof collecting dust.....wondered why i am not working on that truck Prostreet :Grabbed my rad and tranny cooler for the prostreet truck to use for mock up...looked at all the boxes of shinny air ride parts...Tried to get a ruling on excatly what i have to have for a roll cage, there seems to be some difference of opion, should hear back in a day or two on that.Steel got ordered for the box frame....bought 4 rear box tubs to make the rear wheel tubs and still have to add a piece to make it wide enough to cover the wheels. After a mental debate I am using 67-72 wheel tubs beacuse they have less of a arch on the top and if I used the 64-66 the arch would be higher then the box sides when the truck is in the down postion . I don't want the wheel tubs higher then the box sides, but I will have the side of the tub rolled with the side marking that a 64-66 has. Not sure what to call that mark but it's a reversed bead about 16" long and 3 " wide kind of thing. Well thats what i remember for the day.....not bad right?....

I like yer fire truck. So does it work and everything? Spray water and such things? I want one but mainly just to terrorize the neighborhood kids in this 100 degree heat we are having

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Well i haven't "fired up" the fire truck in a long time...but thinking we are going to give it a shot on sunday. But ya it's a 1250 gpm pump and will spray as much water as you can give it.
CVA59 : Dude where you been dude? Hows things going ?.....Ya got to go back to that avee you used to have of the pinup chick wrapped around the spark plug. Thanks about the 58...long story short version...It was sitting in a warehouse for 10 years before I found it,the frame has been painted the floor is all undercoated....just needs a engine and tranny. Haven't decided if i should sell it or finish it....So many trucks So little time.

LOL, I stay in the doghouse with her anyway. If something were to happen to me she would pile all my crap up and sell it in a garage sale for 10$. I will get things figured out again eventually i hope. Keep up the awesome work and keep the pics coming. |

Do you remember the fairy tail about the shoe maker that had elves come in and make shoes every night for him? Dino has a shop full of little elves come in and work on all his projects at night...I've thought hard about this and it's the only explanation

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
hey wutnxt, do you got any pics of the hood scoop yet? i haven't done anything to my truck yet other then think about what i want to do and make a need to buy list, then i go outside to go over where my trucks at and its to hot to do anything! its been 100+ for the last few weeks here not to mention the heat index that seems to add 10-15 degrees! i may not work on my truck til mid august when it cools off some, if it would be 80-90 degrees for a couple days i could get my cab floor, rockers, and fenders done! n-e-wayz nice progress, send so of that cooler weather to me!!

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Dino ...
Dude I was just enlightened on how you can do so much work on your trucks...." Free the elves"...." Free the elves "....The secret is out....lol.. Oh and if you welded like I welded your family would get you a fire truck too. Your truck is looking great dude, you do great work ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sam Do you remember the fairy tail about the shoe maker that had elves come in and make shoes every night for him? Dino has a shop full of little elves come in and work on all his projects at night...I've thought hard about this and it's the only explanation --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chad 64 Okay see that makes sence...they fix dishwashers and appliances by day and build trucks at night....How come I don't get any elves ?...All i got is buddies that come over and drink my beer...Okay they help fix my stuff and bring beer too , the more I think about this the more I like my buddies.....lol Well as it turns out...I haven't started the hood yet because I am looking at making a couple more hood modifications and the smallest part of the hood mods would be the cowl hood section.....So right now I have collected enough hoods to do what i think I want to do ....I just have to make a choice to do it or not. Does that make sence? Then We decided to move the engine back another 6"and lower it 2" which again impacts some of the hood mods i am considering....

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Not sure if I posted these before...but here is what we have to work with in the back......and yes thats a 12 bolt rear cover you see there. Call me a die hard but I like looking under the truck and seeing a good old fashion 12 bolt under it.
