No winch, We are going to add a big block injected with over drive

Then add all the extras like A/C, CC, power this and a bit of that! Yea the roof does not look to good in the pic's but once finished it will require alot less filler. We have talked about trying to push the low areas up or if need be we will add filler strips of metal in the low areas to decrease the filler needed or the big option would be to graft the ribbed roof of his donner 91 Sub. I will wait and see what the blasting shows us and decide from their. EXTD56 keeps saying it is just a daily driver but I have seen his colection of cars and he does not do anything half a$$. It should be a real nice driver when we get done.

I just have to say that this is a huge project and the work you do just blows my mind! Of course I havent just went to my project and made my replacement panels either.

I took the truck to get soda blasted, it took about 5 hours to get it done. The old bondo did not want to come off but it did. It looks like the truck was a experiment in the making, it does need cab corners also.

What do they charge for the soda blasting?

Is that what they call a diamond in the rough?

He charges 150.00 per hour, comparable to what they are charging for sandblasting. It took more time to get it done as the old bondo did not want to leave and I had him also do the interior and he also hit the frame a little bit.

Well the fire wall looks good! As far as the rest, it looks like I have alot of work ahead of me.. It is going to be so nice to start with fresh metal.

Yes we are looking at alot of different ways of re-doing this truck. It will turn out alot better then the first time around. Sorry to say their has not been any progress on the truck in the last few weeks and that is my fault. I have been working on my house and my winter working space. Here are a few pic's of the before and after. Only problem is now it is too nice to drive on

The driveway looks too good to drive on much less work on.

I would hate for my truck to leave the first oil stain on your concrete but with no motor I guess that is kind of hard to do. Now the donor truck is a different story as it has a leaky valve cover I was going to fix once it was out or just get some different covers. I think you got it done just in time for the winter rains.

Got a little bit of work done today on the extended cab truck. Got it all rinsed down from the blasting and got all the rivets out from inside.

I got the front end suspension primered and painted. I almopst got it back together.

The front end is from a 79 Chevy truck, works good. You have to drill 2 new holes and the rest line up. It is an easy upgrade in my book. The front end had been rebuilt and had 2 1/2 inch lowered spindles on it.

was that soda blasting done wet with a powerwasher? just wondering cause i just bought a wet blaster for my 3500 psi 4 gpm power washer. i only just played with it so far with silica sand on the backside of a rusty rim. can't wait to get time to try different medias
