I agree. I guess its a regional thing.

Kind of wish mine was as pretty as yours, but afraid I wouldn't want to use it as a truck if it was.

I know, I know, my hood is wrong, and my taillight bezels are flat nasty. I'm working on it, but getting the engine running, and the wiring sorted, is the primary focus. As soon as both brake lights work, the reverse light doesn't come on when I step on the brake pedal, and the dash lights stay on even when I press the horn button....

Then I'll start on cosmetics.

My 71 C10.
First pic is the day I brought it home.
Second and third pics are after replacing what little rust it had, just re-painting from the lower molding down on the cab, doors and front fenders, some smoothie wheels, and a quick clean and buff to the rest of the truck.

Nice looking truck, do you still have those full wheel covers/hubcaps? if so you may want to reach out to C10king (Rene) he's always looking for those.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I do still have them, but want to keep all the original parts for the truck. Thanks for mentioning it though

Very nice! Bone stock appearance but with updated disk brakes on factory wheels. Nice work and tasteful! 1968 Chevy and GMC's are my favorites of the 67-72 family. I wish mine was still original. I built it over 20 years ago when I was in my 20's.....I would have done it differently had I started that project today.

Here's mine, hideous wheels and all. I have some steel wheels and mid-70's caps, just waiting for the weather to warm up so I can paint them.

Picked up the 40/20/40 seats at the Sunflower Swap Meet in Wichita 4-5 years ago. Haven't seen seats similar to them at the swap meet since. It (Sunflower Swap Meet) is coming up next week, Feb. 7th & 8th, Friday and Saturday. Maybe someone may have something similar this time. Mine were almost $600 with the mounting brackets included which I did not use. I modified a set of bench seat brackets to fit the frame and bolted them to existing floor mount holes. Sits a bit high yet, still need to work that problem but the seat is VERY comfortable for an old man with a bad back.
