Re: 1968-72 Restored Vent Windows in Black Trim

Hi Roger, I'm curious your price to rebuild a pair of chrome vent assemblies if I provide all the parts? Glass is great, same with the chrome. Two sets of bars as an option - I have a pair of NOS (have to be drilled for brackets) or attach the bracket I have that's not bent to one OEM & new felts. The bar was bent up too though it's good and the chrome edges likely salvageable too.

I'm supposed to receive the rubber someday, they're held up under COVID at the moment, fun.

Thank you.

What company are you purchasing the rubber from. Some do not work very good. Could you send me your phone number so I can discuss it in more detail.

Roger I received my restored chrome vent windows that you did and was very impressed. I spoke to you about sending another set if mine out to have you do this spring. I will get them boxed up and shipped out soon but in no hurry.

Thanks
Chad

Roger, I've been watching your posts for years and seeing all the great reviews from your customers, and I've always wanted to get a set. And finally ... I would like to get in line for a set of your chrome vent windows (tinted). Do you need (or want) my old ones? (pass is sprung, doesn't close at the top, glass is fogged, chrome is 7-8 out of 10. PM me with questions/instructions. Thanks, Ken

I alway can use them. Glass is not reused. I may be able to fix the one that is sprung but won't know untill I get it.

I'll put you on my list and will lt you know when I get them from my chrome plater.

Thank you! My truck is in someone else's shop now so I'm not actually sure what glass I need... Should find out tomorrow. Is there a model year cutoff between clear and green tinted? It's a 72 if that helps, I believe it has all original glass.

Hey, did you get a chance to take a look?

Some searching around suggests that all AC trucks had the tint glass, so I've probably got tint, but still waiting for my guy to confirm.

Thank you!

Definitely interested... But I just went and got mine and they aren't marked as softray, so now I'm not sure what to think. With a sheet of paper behind them they seem slightly green but it's hard to capture with the flash... Any thoughts? Pics here https://imgur.com/a/cNIAl2Z, both with the same markings

Unfortunately I don't know what the side/rear glass is and won't be able to check until January... It's definitely an original AC truck, I guess these could have been swapped out at some point?
