Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
What a super clean truck! These things are usually beat to death, thanks for saving it and keeping it true with it's cab and front clip. It will look killer with 22.5's and some super bad azz polished saddle tanks!

Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
Even if you planned on towing with it, you could probably pull half those leaf springs out of the pack and still be good. It would lower it a bit and soften the ride some. Even if you don't create steps for under the front section of bed, you HAVE to graft a set of those fender flares onto the bed to match the front. But I really think the running board should be extended back.

Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
I really like how that looks.
Here's an idea for running board and flares, why not get another set of running boards and fenders for the C40-60 and then turn them arouns and swap sides. Use the fenders for the flare portion only, and then the running boards might extend right up to the edge of the bed, and give it a factory split running board look.

Love the look. If you want air ride couldn't you use the suspension off a newer semi? Sure wouldn't lose any load capacity!

Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
if it was mine i'd have to sacrifice another c50/60 nose to use the larger wheel arch and mold it into the bed. I would also say air suspension in the rear for sure but all around would be so much better. I drive for UPS and know how "nice" of ride you get cruising around in a heavy truck with leafs when you have little weight in it......

Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
do what we did on our crewcab! cut that wheel arch out and cut some depth outta a set of step side hips and stick them on the fleetside bed! looks great and factory IMO

Re: 67-c50 soon to be long bed
Under bedside toolboxes or polished big rig gas tanks might look good in front of the wheels, also.
Btw, how many of you guys checked the local craigslist after you saw this?!!!
