Very cool. Still fun I’m sure even with just a few.

Looks like they mostly missed the memo on “car” night. 🤓

It works better for fuel injected motors. https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/gasol...ystem-cleaner/ Apparently he wanted to practice painting on corrugated tin cause he painted the 44K side first.

Re: 1968 C10 Suburban

While replacing the run channel and window felts I found the clunking sound in the left rear quarter panel. There was a hammer with the handle up in what would be the 4th door. Every time I would turn a corner it would tip one way or the other.

Looks like you have some work ahead of you...

I bet that hammer will clean up pretty good. Kind of neat looking.

Yeah just a lil surface rust on the hammer. I do have some work ahead of me. The big box is a full carpet kit the other boxes have door weatherstrips and threshold strips.

Re: 1968 C10 Suburban

Somehow I missed the reason for the tank. Was the old one rusty or are you getting ready for fuel injection or?

Just was curious because I am still trying to decide which way to go with my fuel tank on my ‘68 burban, but I’m collecting parts to swap a 5.3 in.

The old sending unit didn't work and the bottom of the tank is all beat up . Plus I was having to change the fuel filter once a month.

Re: 1968 C10 Suburban

Last month I started getting parts together to rebuild the front suspension. I had to borrow some 3/4 drive sockets and rachets to rebuild the control arm shafts .

I had to grind and drill the rivets in the top ball joint to drive them out. I borrowed a ball joint press to replace the lowers .

Looks good!

Those replacement bumpers look like they will give you a little more travel.

Just gotta love projects that go easier than expected. Good work!

You weren't exaggerating when you said the old fuel tank was beat up. It looks to be about a 10 gallon tank at this point.

I replaced the heater control cables Today. Yesterday I replaced the bushings in a set of trailing arms I had. Now they are ready for install.
