Re: Show us your projects
My project right now is my 54 Suburban. 98 350 4L80e and 9inch rear.
[IMG][/IMG] After that I'll do my 50 3100. Plans are 348/700r4 and a 5 lug Posi Dana 60 rear. [IMG][/IMG] Mabe after that my 48 Panel. Haven't decided exactly what to do with it yet. [IMG][/IMG] Sometime down the road my wife's 50 6700 Schoolbus. Plans are to shorten it alot and cummins power. It's such a huge project (PUN) that it's quite aways down the road. [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Show us your projects
Here's my '50 3600.
It has the narrowed IFS from a '79 and 2 1/2 drop spindles. Its powered by a 327 with TPI & a 700r4 trans. It's by no means finished. I'm still playing around with the IFS. I cameacross som tubular control arms that I will install soon. The current photos show 16x7 & 17x8 Torq Thrust II's but I've purchased some 17x7 & 17x11's to replace them.

Re: Show us your projects
Here are some shots of my project. The cab/frame is a 1958. The front end is a 1955 and the bed is a Cameo. I had the 58 and started to do a "frame off" and then decided I wanted it to be a 55. Found a donor truck nearby that had the 55 front end and the Cameo bed. Also just decided to change out the rear monoleaf springs to a CPP 4 link setup. The drivetrain is a 383 crate motor/modified 700r4/9" Ford rear.
Here is some shots of the "donor" truck: Kateaux

Re: Show us your projects
I guess I can make this my first post. Bought this 59 a few months ago. Currently in the process of getting stripped to bare metal for more body work and a repaint. Going to keep it somewhat stock looking but lowered with skirts. I hope to debut it at the next Lonestar Roundup in April.
She's a good 20 footer. But really she's just a pig in a prom dress. And hopefully something like this with a stock bumper... |

Re: Show us your projects
What are your plans for it? If I may, make a suggestion; leave the body and paint just how it is.

Re: Show us your projects
Honestly I am doing a restore with a few mods. With a super duper paint job I plan to do myself. Practice will make perfect... so they say

Re: Show us your projects
I picked up a lot of three trucks. I got a 48 long bed, a 50 two ton, and a 51 short step. I have plans of making a four door crew cab. I have already put it on a streched S-10 frame. I would love to know what everyone thinks!!!!
