Re: '77 c10 "charlene" bagged on billets

Tonight i made some templates for my dash cluster, ill take it to the shop tomorrow and start on it, its gonna be made of aluminum, then ill powdercoat it black. My ignition switch panel will be mounted on the mid right side. I plan to get more sheet metal work in my truck.

i think that this one is more what i am looking for but ive decided today since i am doing a sheet meatal cluster, there is no point keeping an original looking radio since my cluster will be custom. I have to figure out a simple radio that i can mount behind the dash or under the seat that only has a aux input for my ipod connect. And a remote preferably for the volume. Something simple, i dont listen to the am fm radio nor do i listen to cd's. I think dino has done something to this effect on his orange burban

k5 bumper media blasted the back of the bumper then painted gloss black. i know i know you wont see much of the black behind the bumper but its the little things that stand out i guess.

I started my "re" build around january and im right smack in the middle of it. Its a 77 swb with a 383 stroker aluminum heads, muth a thumper cam, hooker shortys, 3" exhaust blah blah blah, some porterbuilt goodies, and sitting on 22/24 centerline smoothies with a healthy set of tires.

Ill start with where i am with the truck right now and then ill post some old pics of the build later.
Im sorry but i dont think your gonna get us off that first look. sexy truck!

Great job so far, love the wheels. Plan on possibly using those on my crew project as well. Very good looking setup.

Re: '77 c10 "charlene" bagged on billets

thanks guys, ya i was told before they are from a chevette, never seen them on a smoothie so i jumped all on them. they are pretty thin compared to what others are using.

UPDATE: i was supposed to get the truck out the shop yesterday but we had an issue with the mini spool. but now the carbs adjusted, fuel press regulated, new steering gear box installed, gauges all work and light up, switch panel works with push start, pinion angle on rear end is set, trucks timing has been set and a couple other small oddds and ends.

still need to get a front alignment, balance tires, new wind sheild, inspection, seat belt bracket, wire up the horn, fix pass signal lights, and wire up the air ride before next weekends turkey drag. talk about a sema crunch

You do any square bodies in the paint? and how big? I could use a few prints like that for my rec room.

Shoot me an email on all the details if you don't mind.
