Well we are back to school today. Some parts showed up while we were off.
T-N-T Motorsports(ksbrktracer) sent us some FREE 2" front drop springs -- thank you very much

This morning we put on some Cpp drop spindles, 2" spring that came from TNT Motorsports. Also some drilled and slotted rotors that were donated by Nsane hot rods - thanks Dewayne. Nsane has a great selection of parts

Lesson for the day -- don't use 6 cyl mounts.
I always use v8 mounts - but I didn't have any, so I thought I would try the 6 cyl mount. No matter how you cut them it wouldn't work - it would help with a/c clearance but it throws everything else off. Now we gotta go find some v8 mounts.

A buddy of mine brought by a set of mounts - but they were 6 cyl too. So we wasted most of the day chopping up the original mounts and making them work. I hope it will be worth the trouble - but we wont truly know until we try to fit the fan into the shroud.

The sbc mounts have the larger diameter hole @ the top correct?

The v8 stands are about 2" shorter in height - that gets them closer to the the frame rails - which lets the motor set down further toward the crossmember. I've seen the large hole in both sets of mounts - I think hole size was small in early years, and went to the big hole around '70 - I think?

iv got a set of V8 stands they have had some love with a hammer on driver side to fit header tube but i would be glad to send them your way if yours dont work out!!!!
