Re: 1956 gmc 100
Getting close now! to bad it'll be snowing in a few weeks lol. I have to finish the doors and some odds and ends and thats it. I am going to lower the front an inch or so.. i want a little more rake and my opinion is that theres to much tire showing. I cleaned and painted the GMC emblems but now i dont like the red...i'm thinking of painting them the same graphite color as the wheels? what do you guys think?

X2 on painting in emblems with the wheel colour. Great job so far, looks good. I'm a bit jealous though, I remember you started your project way after mine.

Re: 1956 gmc 100
I tried the graphite color on the emblems and i think it made them look old. I tried white and i like the contrast so thats what i'm going with.

Re: 1956 gmc 100
Red, you were almost right..But i guess i had not done enough times. This is the last time and now they are ivory, i think this is the best so far. I painted the GMC on the tailgate to match but it still needs another coat.

Re: 1956 gmc 100
At it gain lol. I swear i WILL have this thing done by spring! New door bottoms and one piece glass. I used the black diesel method and it went pretty well....however it does take a lot of fudging around to get everything working smooth, and my preference would be to NOT use the chrome stripped window felts. After destroying one side i switched to the regular black ones.

Re: 1956 gmc 100
Very nice. On your fuel tank I take it the gas filler is in the bed? Is their enough room to run it out to the fender? Thanks Rich
