Re: John Lee gets a holster
I've learned a lot by following your build thread, I like to see what other people are doing to their trucks and your Holster was different. I don't think I would mount my handgun on the door but I do carry it a lot in my holster. I have a CCW permit and I make sure it's concealed. Have I ever needed it NO, Will I ever need it? Only God KNOWS! There has been a rash of car jackings in our area and I don't want to be a victim.

^Weak comparison. . The posts that followed made the point I was attempting. My concern was how we all get along so good just talking about trucks. This thread, and your thread were closed temporarily because of how heated things got. Some of you enjoy the 'jousting'. There's lots of forums to debate worldly topics, I come here to relax and talk about trucks. Staff cleaned up the debate, and put this thread back up. Those who don't like this topic can just as easily avoid it. I'm fine with that. No worries.

Re: John Lee gets a holster
It is striking to me how different parts of this great country have such huge variances with regard to culture and every day life. I've never been to the south, only seen it on t.v. but by God I'm gonna have to drive my c10 out there and see it first hand some day, and you guys up there in big sky country too I want to see how it is up there where you live too. When I retire I gonna run the wheels of my truck. So much to see and so little time. Ive pretty much been in Ca all my life. Like the old Creedence song...Stuck in Lodi...that's me.

Sure you don't right up until you do... I live in Winfield, Ks and we are seeing a increase in crime here... You cannot tell me Independence crime isn't on the rise...

Re: John Lee gets a holster
Nice job on the holster. Personally, I'll take my chances at being caught helpless vs always fully prepared, but that's just me. Carry on with your trucks, fellas.

Re: John Lee gets a holster
Careful guys...this thread will be shut down if this off topic discussion continues. I say this freely....we all have our own way of doing things...and there is no reason why everyone has to know about it. Sharps40 simply was showing what he did to his truck...not wanting this thread jack knifed with opinions on why he "shouldn't" have done this mod. As far as I'm concerned...if you don't like what you see...don't post in the thread and move on. I guarantee things will be better that way. I remember throwing a complaint out about a thread called "Trucks and Girls" and half the people subscribed to that thread chewed me out...so..since then I have not posted in threads when I don't like what I see..that way people won't feel offended and an argument doesn't start over something stupid..I mean..be honest guys...Is a gun holster really worth arguing over? lol For those who are against this mod or don't like it..please don't post in this thread if you don't like what you see...just move on and forget about it...sometimes you have to let others enjoy...as intended..this is a user friendly thread..so..why fill it with a bunch of worthless arguments?

Re: John Lee gets a holster
Well said T.J. MCCAULEY. Kind of reminds me of the old saying, If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Wise words.

Re: John Lee gets a holster
Looks good. In Texas, we call that a vehicle theft-deterrent device. (Joke!)
