Re: Farmers big block

Great build!! The pickup is looking good. I have a question regarding your steering setup.
I am using 72 suspension on my 63 C10. When I went to mount the steering cross link, I realized the bracket that holds the idler arm to the frame is completely different between the two and there are no provisions for the 72 mount on the 63 frame. I cant think of a way to properly locate it to make new holes. How did you tackle this if at all? Thanks.

I just leveled the cross link and drilled new holes for the idler arm.
The guy you need to talk to about this is Captainfab he has helped a lot of use with steering problems.

Re: Farmers big block

Nice build ,got a question about your Buddy Console . Can you give more pics and details on how you mounted the radio and how you plan to route the wiring ? What you have done is exactly what I want to do with mine .
Thanks John

I cut a channel in the dynomat from under the dash to under the seat, layed the wires in, used tape to hold them in place. I will take some more pictures and post them.

Re: Farmers big block

The truck is at the upholster, which he's doing a great job should have it back in the next few weeks. I'm working on the wood bought maple, a frieind he's a great wood worker and teaches a nite class at the local high school. So I decided to join the class to use the equipment and his skills (alot of fun). Got the boards roughed out and started making sample peices using walnut and purple heart as inlay's. I have a few more ideas to try out .

Re: Farmers big block

Your interior cam out great, it is similar to what I have drawn up for my own. Are the seats old buckets or something newer?
