Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Shouldnt be hard to make a plate...heck I even think I could do it, just trace it out on carboard and cross over to metal weld and grind down, then im lost (me no no bodywork lol)

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
i used a brand called Krylon from my local Ace store my truck looked crappy when i got it but this color is way better then a flat black its got more of a shine to it my advice is sand it down get it smooth run your hand along it hammer the dents out and then when the body is all nice and smooth paint it its called Krylon Satin Black might need like 8-12 cans or any other brand of Satin Black looks nice and shiny then after like 4-7 months it will fade to flat black to bring it back squirt wd-40 over the paint job and rub it in with a rag and it will look good again OH by the way i need a name for da truck haha

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Ill be a senior this coming year. All my friends think they know how to work on there cars but they always come to get me when they mess up, makes me laugh. I use to work at a body shop too, now I just hang out at one for the hell of it. Nice truck btw, wish I had one of this body style. Glad to know there are a lot more high school kids working on these trucks, thought there were only a few on here.
