Re: 1972 c10 conversion to a LSA powered k20 build thread
Are you running a 4" lift. I'm looking at the front shackles on your truck. with no load on them other than the frame they are leaning forward slightly. I have a 6" lift and my shackles are leaning forward about 2.5" it will be interesting if yours start to lean back as they should with the weight on them.

Re: 1972 c10 conversion to a LSA powered k20 build thread
We were now ready to drop in the engine and trans, but first we had to shorten the shaft to the adapter to the NP205 transfer case.

Re: 1972 c10 conversion to a LSA powered k20 build thread
Our next step was install the transfer case to the tranny, then drop in the motor/tranny combo into the chassis. Everything was pre-fit, and our custom engine brace really worked out nice.

Re: 1972 c10 conversion to a LSA powered k20 build thread
Ha ha...thanks guys.
Here we are with assembly work. Exhaust manifolds on the LSA as well as the wiring harness. We then installed the drive shaft, and wheels. We officially have a rolling chassis!! |

Wow, this thing is absolutely mint. Really digging the wheel/tire combo. The chrome will look sharp under the Red/White

While the chassis was being made into a roller, Heath was busy wet sanding and buffing the rest of the body components.
