Looking good brother, if you need that welded up or anything just let me know. How much room do you need for the pan? Can you modify the pan to make it work?

Hey Del, Not to sure? How much room do the v8's have when you guys have them in? I was thinking maybe like around 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch?

Haha!, OK OK ya got me! well they are called Yankee Tri-Bar Mirrors, I believe they were a dealer add on back in the day. I am not sure what they are actually off of. I will be powder coating them a flat black before installing them.

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
well made a little bit of progress over the weekend. Had some repair body pieces that i did not end up using so i returned them to the truckshop and got a full set of new door hinges.
Then i got these goodies in the mail. |

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Well i needed to fab a new carb spacer so that my throttle linkage would be on the driver side. I ended up getting a trans dapt 1" cast aluminum spacer, then drilling and countersinking the holes in the correct position. Then installed the carb and with my new Lokar bracket for my kickdown and throttle cable.

Re: DLoE's Dropmembered 65 StepSiDe Build
Thanks! A friend of mine built the tranny here in SoCal. The carb is a Holley390 I got from Jegs. All linkage is standard lokar stuff The carb bracket is trick, holds your kickdown, throttle cable and return springs. I got my throttle pedal from speedway motors, $30 bucks! (Tip from Dino) I'll post that when I get home tonight.
