Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
That was sneaky of Dennis. Oh, ya...he will be looking for a job next week. We haven't met up yet but I did get 2 funny calls from him today.
The first: Him "We are in Ft. Collins." Me "Too bad you can't see the mountains today with the clouds." Him "I can see them, they are gorgeous." Me "Umm, dude, there is 2 more taller rows behind those ones." That shocked him. The 2nd was just to express his shock that it just up and started raining out of no where. My only response was "Welcome to Colorado."

Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
Little Update on the truck!
So Dennis and i went to the painters house to pick up the cab so we could shave the fire wall and pull the glass, strip the door jams. Since i do not have to many pictures of the truck laid out or any pictures of the truck in general i took a few! don't mind the back ground our painter was cleaning stuff out. i will be getting a drop member soon to get her laid out all the way! Also be thanks to Dennis for all of his help! He is the man! He pulled the glass like he does it for a living! also thanks to KrazyRay for a great deal on a front end a few months ago and now a dual headlight core support since i changed my mind. I shaved the stainless trim off of the front end so core support should be painted by tomorrow! Finally got the cab back to the house! Dennis immediately started pulling the glass while i prepped the fire wall! stripped jambs! Starting on the fire wall! Shaved cab seam! thats all for now! |

Correct just like Dennis's truck to keep the metal from lifting or causing any sort of body work from cracking.

Re: my 86 Backhalf'd SWB c10
Yeah that is exactly what i did! There are a few different ways to do it but my paint prefers welding to prevent any body work failure do to shrinkage.
