Re: My 56 Handyman build

We mounted the body to the frame for a test fit of the doors and front sheet metal.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

Alignment and fit of the front end sheet metal.
Found a twist in the left fender causing a gap between the fender and hood.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

Is it just twisted or was that from welding in eyebrows?

I checked my old pictures and the gap was there in 1970. The hood had 2 diagonal braces missing from the hood latch to across brace allowing the hood to twist slightly. Installed the braces and the gap disappeared.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

Finally got to the point of spraying some color on the car. First the roof has been painted Crystal White and the firewall and door jams have been painted base coat and clear.

The fuel and brake lines are now all installed along with the radiator and overflow tank. Also the steering column and wheel are hooked up.
