Another week and some more work.
More detail stuff.

Body mounts and such.


Here we are getting the pedal assembly together.



Hooked up the starter and put in some oil. Cranked her over a few times.



And for some foot pedals now.


I like how the foot pedal starter came out. RED!!!! Yeah baby!!

Got in two good days of progress. Still working on the minor details and waiting on the Cab. It better be perfect for as long as it has been out.

Basically I am aligning the clutch and brake pedals as well as the gear box.
Waiting on the axle to get back from the machine shop so I figured it was time to get the carbs ready to go.

But FIRST!!!!
A fun weekend.
My dad and little brother wanted a "project" truck. Well, we ended up with 2. A 69' Chevy and a 67' GMC.
While we were up in the hills getting these two trucks we found a killer Burb that looks like a past owner added some back side windows.




Here is the 67' GMC and where we got it from.



Ok so on to the build job.

While waiting on other stuff and people, it is gear box detail time.








And one Carb:



Rear cab mounts are on and ready.


Some fuel system going in.


Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, blah blah blah.


Dem Carbs!!



Apparently I forgot to take pictures of the throttle bases detailed. My Bad!!!

Alternator and bracket and belt. Done!!



OTS:
Not that it has any bearing on this build thread (it does on my other one) but this is just too beautiful NOT to share.


Yes. Pure Pontiac Power.

Monday I should have that axle back and that means brakes and steering are going in. I will have that carbs finished up by then as well.
She is coming right along.

WOW!!!! It's been a while. There has been no shortage of progress on the old girl. Let me see if I can get you all up-2-Date.

The 56's are so beautiful. That's another on my list of wants. I need to look into that HRPT. I wonder if it rolls in my direction. I sure would love to run my TA through that.

Hey Rods57. Page is in LasVegas right now killing off fakes at the racetrack. He also spends most of his time down at the mechanic shop in garden city. But!! I'm going to see him soon to pick up some parts for my RaceCar that he is treating. I'll say hi for ya.

Man, you do excellent work. Your pretty six-banger almost makes me wish I had went with my 235. Almost. Keep up the good work, and the updates.
Are the torque thrust wheels in the last few pics. the wheels you intend to use?
I'm curious what the outer measurement is, side to side? I think you said they are 17X8, w/ 4.75 backspace?

I bet that COE you pictured is a real back-slapper to drive.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Just trying to take my bosses vision and run with it. With a little bit of my own touches.
The latest image with the Classic torque thrusts are some 16' Trans Am race wheels. The 17' Torque thrust wheels with the black centers were some roll around wheels. Then the other set of Torque's with the grey centers are going on my Trans Am. I was just playing around with different setups.

Here is an image of what we are working towards. I found this on the 47-59 Chevy forum on FaceBook. Not sure who's truck, but it is our vision also. The 15 x 7' Chevy ralley's powder coated red to match the frame. Chrome centers with the classic "Chevrolet" script. And big A$$ white walls.



We will not have bumpers.

I would love to Have\Drive that COE wrecker. I bet it would be sweet.
This 235 is good lookin, but will be lacking much horsepower. But it is about style. It won't be a daily driver. Mostly car show and cruzing.
