Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

Spend your $1100 on the Dropmember instead of the PB a-arms.
You can always add the a-arms later.
Better use of your money with much lower results.
Plus you will gain front suspension clearance at ride height and a rack steering setup.

yep the dropmember is the way to go bro besides looking badass it would center the wheels and narrow your track so you can drive the truck while is low and of course move your wheels up 3 inhes, i have been saving for it for the last couple months is my next thing on my list.......

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

what do you guys think of the kp components rear 4 link setup? seems like it woulod work but it also looks kinda flimsy. has anybody ran this kit? problems? does anyone know if i can "lay out" with this kit? It also says in the ad that axle locators and panhard bar are extra which makes the kit close to 1000$ at that point the 1900 for PB doesnt seem that bad. any input???

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

I'll come and help you wire power for the tig welder if you build your own 4 link....... just sayn'

Tell me you didn't look at that and think man for $645.00 I can build that ****? I know that its that much more work but Ive seen some bad a$$ stuff that you have built for other people, and me personally would love to see you build your own setup!

Ill repeat the question I have asked you before: "what are you doing with this truck"

almost everyone started out with a nice clean build and then this and then that, and then wtf happened to all my money?

I say you go for it, if it comes out bad (you and I know it wont be) sell that beotch!

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

I have the kp setup and its good stuff. But. I obviously don't have a comparison. All the boxes say Chris alstons chassis works on the boxes, so I'm assuming his shop makes it or designed it?

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

im not worried about the fab work as much as the geometry. if i do spend a bunch of time building a fourlink and front arms and it handles like crap, im gonna drive it off a cliff with me in it! or i could just drop a couple "g's" and get porters kit and be on my merry way. Im so confused

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

rad! Man, You will feel so much better if you do build it rather than just buying bolt on stuff. But.. The bolt on stuff is rad and had most of the bugs worked out of it though. That may be part of the reason I z'd mine, because I did a bolt in rear kit. But really, it would be simple to make all the brackets if you did want to bolt in your four-link like you are showing here. Take your time. You don't need to be like me and have 3 pairs of rebuilt upper arms laying around...

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

That's whats up! see I knew you could make it happen!

can you get dimensions from the member on here that has the rear 4 link you were looking at? Thant might make it easier as far as geometry goes?

it looks like the rear geometry shouldn't be that bad??? as far as the front I would be way lost... at worst you can do the rear yourself and if the front gets out of control you can buy the hard part???

Re: Nobaddaze's 82 C10 Cruiser Build

I definately got more figuring to do. Bridge and panhard bar
is next. I still might do PB arms up front. One task at a time
