Re: Project "5th try"
Nice build, Steelies and caps are my vote. What brand of rear suspension are you using? I want to ditch my rear leafs on mine due to the left side setting about an inch and a half lower than the right. Keep up the great work

Re: Project "5th try"
Thanks for the link, pretty cool stuff on that site. That's a good looking kit albeit a little out of my $$$ range right now
![]() I don't know of any bbw 67 GMC or Chevy's. Did they actually make one? I've been a die hard Chevy man all my life but I'm sure their's still more to learn ![]() How's progress on your truck going? |

Re: Project "5th try"
Progress is slooow... I did finially get some parts and supplies on the way. I located the correct gold paint in a spray can from PPG. Going to try that on the fire wall and see what it looks like. Also found some finned edelbrock valve covers and got the unisteer u-joints and stainless steel dd shaft for the steering linkage ordered and got the front wheels and tires mounted up.
![]() ![]() I started to clean up the core support tonight and kept thinking it didn't look right. Looked at a GMC support I have and relized my issue... The mounting lip on both sides has been cut off. So now I'm on the hunt for a nice support. I hope/plan to use somones bolt in inner fenders...., so i'm going to need that mounting point. ![]() ![]()

Re: Project "5th try"
Another lame update.... Received my valve covers and steering parts. Maybe I'll quit being a lazy ass and get the steering installed.

Re: Project "5th try"
Finished disassembling the motor. Everything looks good. Going to try and drop it off at the machine shop somtime next week. Have him hot tank it and check it out. I'd like to be able to just hone it and rering and bearing it. I'll just have to wait for the health report.

Re: Project "5th try"
Dropped the block and heads off at o6r1man's house. He's going to take them to the machine shop for me this week. I live a town over and could never make it to Parsons when the machine shop would be open. Befor anyone asks, no, that's not a dead hooker in my trunk.... Block and heads fit right into the trunk of my dd ford fusion.
