Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
I just picked up this little 93 sonoma.
It has a newer 4.3 vortec with a manual valve bodied tranny with bump shifter. Since I got rid of my Rx7 a few years back, I forgot about driving a low clearance vehicle. From the bottom of the ladder bars to the pavement is about 3"-4", another inch to the bottom of the diff. I've already re-tinted it and fully cleaned it up. Took off the SS stickers and fixed the stereo, etc.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Few more pics for everybody.
First an update on my 98 Sonoma; Got the TPI motor sittin in it anyway. Still wanna get it lower and farther back. And another S-truck added to the family. This one is my sons. It's a 96 with 2.2/auto trans. Needs a motor though. It'll be his first vehicle. Hopefully we'll get a chance to work on it before long.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
That TPI looks good in there. What your plans for a wiring harness? I'd like to add a vortec 350 to my 96 sonoma someday. I'm hoping i can just add to my stock wiring harness if i stay vortec.

Just a few weeks ago I spotted a wrecked 99 or so chevy truck. I've been seriously considering starting over if I can aquire the wrecked truck for a reasonable sum. I really want a manual trans too, (Tremec 5 speed or a T56), no matter which engine I end up with. LOL

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
I'm not sure what the seats are, but the console/shifter is out of a 3rd gen S-truck/blazer I'll bet!
Looks just like the one I'm puttin in my Sonoma. Another question for ya Jonce; What's the big notch in the right side frame rail for? AC pump?

Seats are from a S10 Blazer as guessed. The big notch on the passenger side was for the A/C pump. Although it did fit (the pump itself), the pulley was too close for my comfort level. I run with the windows down now. I believe the center console came from the late 90's Blazers with the floor shift. I finally have cup holders. I wished I would've waited and bought the same color center console but it actually matches the dash and doesn't look too out of place. Soon to install LS1 intake and camshaft, as well as a Nelson Performance tune.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
got my 2000 jimmy with 106,000 on it bu tthe motor was blown... so after i put a newer 4.3 in it i had to drive it around to get the computer all setup for inspection... got hit by a guy running a red light when i had a green arrow to turn left.. thats where the s10 front clip comes into play.. now it has a 4 inch lift and 33s on it.. soon to do a 2 inch bl for 35s... right before i finished the front end swap
took the 18s off and painted the grill then heres my other hauler..lol its a nitro rc truck... loads of fun in the feild across from my house.. had it clocked at the local track at 78mph with the supercharger on it.. now im running nitros and its way faster..

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Here's my 2002 Blazer Extreme that I bought a few weeks ago. It's got the 4.3 and Auto trans. It drives straight and smooth at highway speeds.
The previous owner messed up the dash bezel and nearly every panel; installing a CD player and speakers. Gas mileage is 12-15mpg; which I don't think is that great. I haven't been lead-footing it either. The white/gray Extended cab; in the above post; developed a knock in the engine. I'm seriouslly thinking about the V8 swap.
