Welcome to the board. Looks good. The rear air looks like it would be pretty much maintenance free.. I put an LS1/4l60e in my '67 Panel Truck and love it. Keep us updated on the progress. LockDoc

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
Love your rear A/C! That's on my shopping list for the swap meet in April. Its a shame you can't buy a nice metal fan like that any more.
P.S. The rest of the Burban is great too!

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
Here’s my ‘68 pulling home a ‘69 CST Blazer from a local boarder (Blazer is gone, Burbon remains). I looked through my pics and all I have of it are shots of it dragging home something else. She’s a workhorse! Performs duty as my backup DD. Reliable as a rock but rides like one too. One of these days I’ll have to do something about that instead of the torched front coils.
Second pic is dragging my 72 Chevalier home

Here's a couple pics of the new 68 Burb. Thrilled to have tracked it down and now own it. I'll try to get some better pics to share.

Nice looking 68 KingsizeXL. Do you happen to have the paint code?

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
I'm assuming the paint code is usually on the Service Parts Identification in the glove box? That's why I joined this forum.. to get some knowledge, lol. Just let me know where to look and I'll be glad to post it.

Hoping it's not covered by that sticker? Supposedly it was owned by a Fire Station so I don't know about the color. Looks like it was probably repainted somewhere along the way.

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
Very nice King! She’s clean looking from here.
I don’t see an optional engine list on the SPID in the glovebox, so I assume 307 v8? I like the column shifted 3 speed too. Been discussed before but since you’re new - most consider it a pretty good theft deterrent- not many low life’s could figure out how to drive it even if you left the key in it! I’m looking at it on my phone so pretty small - how many seats does it have? They made narrow 2 person seats and also full width 3 person size.

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
Yep 307, 3 on the tree, pretty fun to drive. It's been taken good care of. It's only got one full size back seat and then the wayback has some "extra" holes in the floor where they might have put some equipment at one time. Also got some extra holes in the headliner and I'm guessing the roof at one time where lights or antennas might have been. Still has the call numbers for the Chief and other fireman taped to the sunvisor. Best of all it's only sporting 33,600 miles on it.

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
Outstanding- the mileage was going to be my next question about it. Still inside warranty!
This is a great forum you’ve joined. Post up any questions about her and this crew Will have the answers. I really like my 68 Suburban (rough as it is..), but yours is amazing. Good job bringing it home.

Re: 67-72 Burbs and Panels 2wheel drive only
There was a thread on this burb when it was for sale. It was supposedly an ex fire dept rig. I didn't see a paint code on the spid. But it's close to the "Victory Red" that was on my 89 burb. I think the Victory Red is a tad bit darker though.
