Part of the back of the cage extends through the back of the cab. This bar is 1" below the top of the bed line.

From the front you can see more of the bottom structure. The two tubes in t he center will mount the lower control arms.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

You could not use the front "header" panel on the bed and tie the bed into the cab. Would save the weight of the header panel.

my guess is it is just cut off the top so the bars can be welded around on top ?? if it is chopped it is very minimal ?

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Haha, this is turning out to be a fun one so far. Most of our builds have some guidlines we have to watch, but not this one. The cab shell got down to appx 105 lbs. At 183lbs, we tack welded it down to the rack, and then weighed the parts we cut off, so it's kind of a guess. The first cut for the top was just to weld the cage, but as all things, it bloomed. first it was cut the gutter off, then we decided to chop it, but only 1 3/4". I'm reaaly trying to hide the cage bars and not loose to much room inside, but, everything is a trade-off. BTW, the wheels are off of the Silver Bullit (5 x 4 1/2") - not for this one.

Those are way kewl! I will have to show the friend of mine who ended up with the 70 SS396 Chevelle Convertible that has wide 5's. He will be happy to find a way to get some rims that don't limit him to 15".
