Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
We plan on painting all three trucks with the same old triple tone paint scheme...
I'll be sure to update when we get them done Attached are some photos of my current project 1993 Silverado with 78 ford dana 60 axle swap and 6v53 detroit diesel. Have n80 injectors to help get 'er down the road and a Jake to get 'er woooowed. Also turbo is from 6-71. Truck may not belong in this thread... but i thought it wouldnt hurt to share a picture or two. Last edited by KingNothing50; 01-26-2010 at 08:42 PM. |

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this as I am a new member; but: does anyone know where I can get a driver's side running board/step for a 1972 Chevy C50?
Also, I noticed you guys talking about weather there should be a forum for these bigger trucks and whether it would do well. Let me just say that because of this tread for bigger trucks I have joined this group. |

I like the work you do man and I am trying to get a 69 C50 off my uncle who bought it from an auction. He parked it out in the field and there it has sat for i don't know how many years. In Manitoba Canada I need to have a truck over 10K GVW to be able to run Deuce and a Half diffs with the 52" tires I have on the road with out getting pulled off the road. Richard

The organic food cooperative I'm under contract with started hauling product with this truck sometime back in the late '80s:

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
I'll add some pictures of my 68 C-50.
I drug it out of a field last fall where it had sat for 9 years. After evicting the mice I got it running and stopping again and put it to work hauling trash from a remodeling project. Last edited by jasons; 10-06-2010 at 04:54 PM. |

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
Living out in the country, I'm starting to keep my eyes open for bigger stuff. There is a truck identical to this sitting in a field near my house. What are these things worth? And... what would I use it for?

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
I use my truck for hauling trees and remodeling demolition to the dump. Now that the house is about done I'm thinking about selling it. It may only get used one time a year and I have access to other trucks when I need them. As far as what they are worth I'm thinking about asking $3000 and see If I get any bites. From asking around I've been told that is a good starting place. I have seen a truck like mine that was in very nice condition inside and out bring about $6000 at an auction four years ago. That price surprised a lot of people, but there were two guys there who wanted it and that's all it takes.

Is a C6000 a 3 ton? I just got what I believe is a 69 from my Uncle.
Thanks Richard

A funny story kinda goes along with these pics. I snapped these about 2 years ago on my way to a truck pull that was out in Broken Bow. My Buddy Jeff was driving and I was riding shotgun and we had 2 other friends who are also old Chevy nuts in the back of "Marge" (91 cutlass ciera). Anyway were rolling through central Nebraska drinking coffee and seeing who could stink who out of the car(we all had horrendous gas that morning for some reason) when we roll up on Loup city, we notice one big old square body 4x either Napco or a Marmon Herrington conversion but it wasn't in an area where we could stop and snap a few pics, anywho as were rolling down main drag we go by a run down little fillin station and this Big orange behemoth was stittin there Jeff about locked up the binders on Marge trying to stop we all knew it was a big old Napco, Its not everyday you see a big Napco like this and this was the first one I had seen in the flesh so to speak. We all jumped out and snapped a few pics and then we got back on our merry way. I think Jeff has a few pics of this truck as well I see If he has em in his photobucket.

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!
By the Directional Lights, it tells us that it is a 1970 or newer. Although it is a Tandem Dump, it is not a 9500 Series. That one is a 7500. It has a 1-Piece Windshield.
Edit: The Green truck I was referring to is the one in post #104. You may be talking about the truck in post #30. Bill Last edited by C10 - C90 Bill; 03-28-2011 at 11:32 PM. Reason: Added extra info |
