Thanks for the bracket pic!! So is that bolt a special bolt with a stud coming out of the end of it? Is the lower bolt the same way?

It is just a stud that threads into the block and then double nutted , the rest of the bolts are regular 3/8 bolts. The stud is probably 1.5"long if I had to guess, any automotive store will have them.

Worked on trying to pull a dent from the back of my cab but it wouldn't come out. I tried and finally cut it out and welded in a new piece. It took me awhile to heat and cool and shrink an stretch the area to get it straight as I could not get behind it to dolly it but finally got it fairly close.

Still doing bodywork, as I will be for a few months. Skim coated the back after using my stud gun to pull some small dents and it actually is very flat when I put a 6' level across it. It looked like the ocean before, I guess the bed of this truck was well used.

Well, after spending 8 hours trying to fix my roof and stop the oil canning I said screw it. Time for a re-skin, I think it might be easier.

Looking good. Be careful welding the roof back because you can't get behind it to work with a dolly and hammer.

Took the roof panel off of my parts can and decided to take the inside panel off as well.

your build keeps me going on mine, i have a question i hope you can help with. i just bought a oem fiberglass fan shroud for my 65 stepper $50 uber super find with other awesome hard to find parts on scraigslist cheap and local, anyway a piece is broken off, more like chipped off about a 6in section on the round fan side and about 1in deep kinda jagged looking. do you know or heard of a way to repair it while keeping the oem look, cuz i watched a bunch of videos and they just mat it add resin and sand,prime and paint. i want the grey look that it just left the showroom finish. so please help me!!!!

I got a California Car Cover and it is great, fits perfectly and is made specifically for 60-66 burbans.

Thats a tough one,my shroud has a crack in it and I am going to resin it also. I have not got that far but also want the stock grey look but when you figuer it out LMK or if I get to it first I will let you know.

i just had an idea, maybe if we sandwich fiberglass, the tiger-hair type with with longish fibers between smooth, flexible yet rigid cardboard on the shroud let it cure and maybe it will allow some fibers to show to mimic the factory molded look, and then just color match with mist coats of flat grey to try and blend the color. whatcha think bout that idea?
