So the door surgery went well... realized I had never posted these pics.... so here they are - was a little worried that I would get things a hair off and things wouldn't line up but it turned out great - can't even tell I had been in here...

So a picture of my present from the guys over at Porterbuilt (gotta get that nose painted up so I can finish hanging the front fenders and get the hood finished up) - so that's another project yet to be tackled.... but I did start to tackle raising the rear floor to accommodate the extreme notch in the rear - went with 1 1/2 wide tubing which should allow me to get the angle pieces down both sides of the bed... some more vertical support to be added along the side but all - I think it will function - not worried about carrying a whole lot in a 8 inch deep bed - so more for looks than anything else.

Only sick if it ever sees the outside of this garage.... gotta get my act together. A couple of new pictures.... one of the radiator support installed... and the nose finally painted up so I can hang fenders. Finished the install of the new cab mounts... hoping with all the new mounts the fenders still all hang pretty...

Some updates for the build thread. Getting gauges ready to go back in - radiator in - and hung the front fenders... gaining on it this week.

Instrument panel all cleaned up and reinstalled with new hardware... now onto the heater controls and ashtray.

Hoping to get the brake lines all tied up this week.. the front one's are done... minus the bleeding of course... been block sanding the rear fenders the last couple of days ugghhhh... and tore down the column so I can get that all cleaned up and painted. Oh and the most exciting news is that I didn't screw up all the wiring with my changes and managed to fire the engine for a few seconds - all good things. Ordered some exhaust pipe and fuel line those should be in Thursday - the last major thing is the 2 piece drive shaft... I'm going to have to eventually bite the bullet on that one.

She wasn't running when I got her so it's pretty motivating to finally be able to hit the key and have it go.

Finishing touches on the steering wheel and now that's back together... slow gains.

Finally got some painted laid down over the last couple of weeks... weather is starting to change - hopefully I have enough time left to get things tied up with the bed... have a new respect for guys that paint - it's no piece of cake.

Paint came out great! The back of your cab is straight as an arrow. I am about to take this journey hopefully by the end of next month. I have done bodywork and paint before but it had been so long I had forgotten how tedious and aggravating it can become at times. I do have a question for you. What kind of tape did you use between the White and Green? Your line looks really good.

I can't tell you the number of hours I spent working the back of that cab - so much I would grumble every time I would come back in from the garage and remind myself that between that and then bed I would see of it.

It was this yellow masking tape I got from the paint guys over at napa - I'm sure it has an official name but I told them what I was doing and they suggested it and it worked well - no bleeds anywhere along the entire length... so as advertised.

Thanks for the kind words guys - I'm mine own worst critic so I have to remind myself I'm an average joe in his garage this isn't a concourse restoration lol. Took her down off the tires I had her up on - down on jacks at least now. Starting to put glass in - passenger side and rear window done - next is to tackle the windshield and then the driver's door which needs new rollers etc.

Windshield finally in - 3 attempts... god bless. Pictures to come tomorrow - should be able to get the hood on and tie up some of the front end pieces - progress.

Grille and Bumper in place... need to get the bottom two bolts in the bumper... got the front sway bar put in place as well.
