Re: 68 project
Well I spent a couple hours at the shop tonight and took some pics of me removing the cowl, even after hours of blowing air through the cowl there was still a good bit of pine needles and even a mouse nest built from the firewall padding. I am truly glad I decided to remove and replace the inner cowl panel. Plus there was plenty of heavy surface rust that needed to be treated. I will sand blast this and treat it with metal prep and por paint. Then it will be time to reinstall the new cowl.
I did not count them but there is a good number of spot welds in this one piece.

Re: 68 project
The new tool sure was worth every dime. So much quicker and better than the harbor freight cutters. Also two pics of the garbage that was lurking in the shadows of the cowl.

Re: 68 project
My new inner cowl panel came in yesterday from nsane hotrodz that I ordered just two days ago Of course I had to test fit it, seems to fit pretty well just a little tweaking here and there but over all real nice fit.

Re: 68 project
Awesome. Congratulations. You will be rolling in no time. That was nice of Santa to bring your stuff early. I'm not even aloud to see, hold, or anything. And have been told its not even being stored here whatever I'm getting. And its still up in the air. Could be coal.

Re: 68 project
Yes, this is true, I am going to box part of the frame in the back and do the c-notch, plus I was not real happy on how the paint came out on the frame. Will be changing the frame color to silver with black control arms and black rear axle.
