Re: My 67 Build Thread
Well Im gonna have my donor cab patched and welded up. Have it painted while empty too. Also, have my seat re done.
While that is going on, Im gonna take the truck down to the frame and clean it up. Put front discs on and power steering. Drop it 4 1/2 in. in the front and 6 in the back for now. At least thats the plan. I hope it runs as smooth as it sounds.

Nice job of selling both motors. You never know...this week a 454, next week a 350, and who knows the next week. haha. If you have a yearone crate 350....I'll take that! Quote:
Haha. Nope. Haven't gotten it mounted up yet. Waiting for you to come over here and help me. I figure you can hold the motor up while I swap the suspensions out.

Re: My 67 Build Thread
jeez and I thought I was slow, Ive already pressure washed and wire wheeled my rear end and gotton ready for paint slowpoke. oh and I washed your brake booster too. I was wrong though. all it needs is the rod to the pedal and the bolt that holds it to the booster assy.

Re: My 67 Build Thread

Update: I know its been quite a while. The weather has been way to hot to work on the truck during the day. No garage, carport, or concrete floors. I had a nice ticking sound after I did the HEI swap. Decided to see if it was the intake/exhaust gaskets. Well, when I was taking the exhaust off, the stud on the manifold broke off. So I had to drill and tap it. That was a pain. Anyways, got the gaskets done and everything bolted up. And now it sounds a little better. But there is still ticking. Im gonna try to adjust the valves tomorrow and see if that fixes it. But the motor sounds a lot better because before it sounded very "airy" due to the worn out intake/exhaust gaskets. Ill let you know how tomorrow goes. I think after I get her running good and reliable, I am gonna put her up for sale. At this point, I have done so much part hunting that I have almost another complete truck. I hate to tear down this truck to just use the frame. And by frame, I mean just the frame. Ive got another cab, bed, 5 lug disc front suspension clip, hood, fenders, and seat. All I need is another rad. support, grill, rear axle, bumpers, and frame. Anyways, I will let yall know what I decide to do.

I dunno. Well see. On a side note, I put some new door locks in today. Man was that easy. Didnt get around to adjusting the valves. I had to unload the fleetside bed and the disc front suspension clip. That drained me......did it without a hoist/lift.
