Re: 1968 C10 5.3 swap, the easy way.

i did it! i got my old 350 out and my 5.3 in.. and i used the dirty dingo sliders like you said and it was so easy! did it in one afternoon with my wife! thanks for posting and showing us whats up on this swap. i deleted my emissions along with the vats.. sent to brendan @ http://www.lt1swap.com/ followed his instructions on the harness mods. building the fuse block featured on his site. also took the advise on the boyd welding tank, went with the efi model. and picked up some doug thorley swap headers! still got some work to do on it.. should be done soon, weather permitting. heres a pic and thanks for the inspiration!

Re: 1968 C10 5.3 swap, the easy way.

I am jealous... I am trying to talk the wife into letting me buy a 5.3L so I can do the swap. the MPG savings will pay for it in about a year anyways. Not the easiest thing to do let me tell ya'.

Also you should look into side markers off a chevy cargo van. They go very well with the bodylines.

Been looking everywhere for those factory A/C compressor fittings and no luck so far, look to be my best option so far. Nice truck!

How do the end of your headers sit in relation to the frame? And what motor mounts did you use?
