First, congrats on getting your cab done. I have one more support that needs welded on, two more small patches on the floor, and then we'll be making the rockers smooth by removing and welding at the pinch weld.

No one can post pictures by attaching them right now. You can upload them somewhere like photobucket and link them or possibly upload them to the member's gallery and link that, but I'm not sure on that.

I am thinking get the bed done and together coating the bottoms and then paint everything in the spring. That way it will give me all winter to powdercoat all of the small parts and eveything.

VA is right you need to get a photobucket account. It's the best way to post pictures and you can have a ton of pics without running out of space.

Congrats on finishing the cab!

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

I figured I would post some pix since we can now. These are of the cancer I cured on friday night and then a few shots of it outside with my new rallies painted. I wanted to see how it look without being in the confides of the garage. I dont know why but the side rear angle shot really does something for me!

I can't wait to see it finished, especially with no bondo. Keep that awesome work up.

The satin paint should cover up most of the imperfections that will not be taken up by bondo.

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

This guy is my best buddy and long for the times in the garage with him cause I know they will go fast! He can tig like a champ for a 10yr old and the coolest thing is he loves it! We had worked on get the exhaust out and over the rear to a ball park of were we will have them once the bed and bumper are on. FYI the pix of the welds his are the tacks not the weld to the right, he keeps practicing and it wont be long and be lain' some beautiful beads!

Now that is the coolest thing. Having your son out there with you helping build the truck. I can't wait until my son is old enough to help me.

Toby is a cool little guy... nice welds...

Doesn't PA require our exhaust to clear the body panels?

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

Toby is a very cool kid, we are very blessed with our children in every way!

As far as the exhaust I am not sure? You asking the wrong person! I never even get my motorcycle inspected. If you want me to find out I have a freind who is a state trooper. Nice right talking about my illegal actions and talking about a tropper all in the same paragraph!

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

Just don't want you to be upset when you get it plated and inspected...

My son Mikey on the other hand won't play with his cap gun because the cap caught on fire once! He was 3 1/2 but it still scared him enough to not use caps anymore!

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

That is too funny! I bet he grows out of it! Give him a year or two and reintroduce him to the fun of cap guns! You'll have to have him over and we can teach him about fireworks! Toby's is already a piro with the firecrackers. I guess I would rather him know what they will do and not sneak playing with them. Does this make me a bad parent?

As far as the exhaust I just stopped there till I get my bed and bumper on then I can see what I like best. Toby is bulking about the dodge thing he wants them to exit right behind the rear wheel in the fender, like that blue one we saw at Carlilse. Of course he likes the one with the most work and fab.

Re: "The way it is" 67'swb

Damn straight! I think doing that with the exhaust would be kind of cool behind the wheel too. I am just afraid of how to get them exactly the same cause I have 4" round tips versus the oval with a straight line to use. Good thing I have a long time till that point comes!!

I cant believe it is almost Nov. that seems like yesterday! UGH!!!!

Exhaust looks good. It's very cool your son is helping. My daugters are too young 2/4 for mommy to let them in the garage, but I already promised my 4 year old the first ride in the truck (once I've done a shakedown drive)

It is very cool, it is amazing the things they pickup and can run with. He has a totally different view on this build and helps me see the other side of the coin, very often.

Good on you to have the patients to teach and work with your son. My oldest boy is 4 and he's always right there with me in the shop asking tons of questions and absorbing everything. I love it!

Nice build btw

Honestly Mike I think it is an age thing. Toby was like that too when he was younger, I think they ears must be more sensative.

Thanks, Loosecannon. Unfortanely they pick up everything the good and the bad. You really have to watch your P's & Q's.
