THIS ONE IS THE REASON I STARTED HANGING OUT AT THE SHOP!! IT WAS BUILT 9 YEARS AGO, AND LOOKED GREAT THE DAY IT WAS SOLD! I PIOLOTED IT TO TWO SHOWS AND HAD A HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE AS I ROLLED DOWN THE ROAD!

I love color scheme on that one Cheese. I am planning a similar paint scheme on mine using an old pastell color like you may have found on a Belair in the 50's.

THIS IS RAPID ROYS AND WAS DONE 12 YEARS AGO AND STILL LOOKS GREAT. IT WAS THE LAST TRUCK BUILT IN BROWNFIELD, TX BEFORE HE MOVED TO LUBBOCK. IT CAN STILL ROLL TO ANY SHOW AND STAND OUT!

That is what I am planning to do. I am set on the off white, just have to pick a color to go with it.

Re: This Just may be Square Body heaven....

I think I'm gonna try to stop by his shop when I go on vacation this year. I used to live in Lubbock when I was a kid while my dad went to school at LCC and Texas Tech. Every few years we go back just to see how things have changed. Anybody know the story on that 80's square getting body work with the draglites on it?

Frames not a problem, how many you want. It is a long drive, but the price is right. Ive got a couple

I toured the shop at the open house. Nice shop, great people. I didnt get to talk to Jason ( he was very, very busy) but Ill make it back up there sometime. And as far as the after hours thing on personal trucks, thats what just about everyone of us do. I saw great projects with very nice work done to them, and I am about one of the pickiest people around. Quality takes time, money speeds the process. I tell my customers you can have it right in a decent time for a fair price that is quality work, or you can have it done right now, at a higher price that is quality work. It costs more to rush things, man power, freight on parts, etc, all adds up, and you cant expect the company to consume those costs. I wont sacrifice quality for time, and from what I saw, they wont either.

Re: This Just may be Square Body heaven....

We have a sign at my shop...

You get to pick 2:

Time
Cost
Quality

the one left you don't get...we always do quality work, so if you don't want it fast it won't cost much...if you want it fast it's going to cost more...period...

I will say this...I can understand both sides of the ordeal from one persons eyes...I think Jason Hill did the right thing in the end...I would have done the same thing...you can't make everyone happy all the time...the customer blindsided Jason at the end and that wasn't right...and I run a custom upholstery shop everyday of the year...I've been there done that...

enough of that though...I love the space in that shop and the order and neatness to it...I could only wish my shop was that organized and large...the body shop side of it looks a little empty though...more like storage...lol

Chuck.
