The 500 is fine...it's the 425 that splattered.
Running it at 3500 MIGHT have had something to do with it, however, there are many factors.
The question I'll never have the answer to;
did the piston shatter causing the oil pimp to get clogged... or did the oil pump stop working causing the piston to shatter?
(I found a 3 inch by 3 inch chunk of piston skirt in the oil filter )

besides, if the engine couldn't handle 3500 RPM, then i don't want it.

I recently got new knobs/bezels, lighter, ignition bezel, and a chrome ashtray. It really brightened things up.

Thanks guys. That wrench gets more remarks than anything else about my pickup. It was just a cheap solution when I put it on there 5 years ago, but now I guess it's there to stay..

The Red Rockets Dash. I built a carbon fiber panel that fits the glove box cover. Very nice. Can't find the pix though.

when you guys convert a glovebox door to a gauge cluster, how do you mount it? tim240z simply used sheetmatal, but on a glovebox if you drill a hole for the screw, it'd go all the way through and the screw wouldn't grab anything. i noticed some people had no screws in their glovebox conversions, did yall use adhesive?

thanks for the compliments, they are one piece power windows and the switches are in the center console, the door panels were designed by myself and made by my upholsterer.

Here are some of mine. The stereo was in the process of installation so it was not pushed all the way in.
