Re: progress pictures

Just curious, are you running a power brake booster? Do your valve covers fit ok, they are "tall" ones right? Do you have the motor lowered as well? I'm curious because I want to run a set of tall covers on my bbc so I can run rollers and am concerned about clearance. By the way really really nice work.

71/454 , i'm not running power brakes, the 11" boaster will not clear the valve covers. a 7" or 8" boaster would work . my motor sit a little higher than stock with the z"d frame and lowered motor.

Looking good Mike!

I would run a temp gauge for sure on that tranny! I have the same type cooler setup on the drag truck and it gets pretty warm!

i have not ran this set up on the trans cooler before, but have talked to a few guys that run this set up on street cars without a problem, i will also run a temp guage.also this truck is not a daily driver. dj racer runs this on his drag truck, but that is an all out drag truck.if it is not enough cooler i will change to cooler with a mounted fan in the same location.

Re: progress pictures

got a little more done on the truck. got the core support mounted also fabbed up the fan shroud and mounted the electric fans along with the radiator hold down. also got all the unneeded holes in the firewall welded up , still have to do bodywork on the firewall and pull shroud and rad hold down back out to paint. here's a few pics.
