Well, I finally got it all back together. Here are some pictures aired up and down. I would like to get the front down a little more so I am going to cut an inch or so off the bag cups. The ride is unbelievable, smooth like a cadi.

the upper cup bolts in and the lower one sets in the lower spring pocket. as for part number just go to ***************** and click on bag cups

The front is pretty simple on all 67-72 and 73-87 trucks because the suspension is almost identical. The upper bag plate bolts to the area of the crossmember around the spring pocket.

The bottom of the bag has a "cup" bolted to it that sits in the bottom of the spring pocket. It is not mounted, instead it "floats" in the cup. This prevents the bag from ever being over extended.

Routing the air lines is time consuming and it's "very" critical that they are routed correctly. They must be ran through grommets, rubber hose, or wire loom at any point that they come in contact with anything. Any point of frisction can create a weak spot that will blow.

They can not be ran anywhere near the exhaust. Even the heat created by an exhaust leak can build up in an area sifficent enough to cause a line to blow. You can use copper line to prevent this, but it is much more time consuming to run.

The ride is super smooth, I have no intentions of changing out the shocks. I would recomend them if you are going with bags. Like I mentioned before they are the ones you get with ECE's relocator kit.

I just installed the relocator kit on my 69 Burb. It was very simple to install and it made a BIG difference in reducing the bounce in the rear. IMO this should be part of ART rear bag kit.

It will rise to ride height in about 1 second, maximum lift in 2 to 3. I only have the single 5 gallon tank for now so the compressors will kick on by the second time I cycle the bags. I think I will add a 3 gallon tank on each side of the frame at the rear later. This would give me a total of 11 gallons, and I think I should be able to play with the switches a bit longer then.

I was suprised that for the cost it was not part of their kit. Did you stick with the air ride technologies shocks or use KYB's.

Any chance you could get part #'s off those shocks next time you're under there? I already have the relocation brackets and would like to see if I can find the shocks cheaper than ECE is asking. I would really appreciate it!
