Re: Show Us Your Lits
These pics came from the Ebay listing and it was mislabed as to the year; but since I also have a 61 GMC Suburban, I bought it anyway. It's newspaper-sized and purty neat. Look for the Donkey!

Re: Show Us Your Lits
How about GM factory photos? These were used in the making of the brochures. A couple of these have a GM stamp on the back yet.
And a gmc silver book... and an NOS 70 silver book. Hmmm, maybe i do have a problem...................................Nah....

Re: Show Us Your Lits
Real nice stuff. Primo material right there!
I'm having a hard time keeping track of what I have and haven't showed yet. Here are more ads. This first one was for the carrier. Talk about a "money shot"

Thank you for sayin it's in good shape. It is, but not perfect. You can see some rust from the staples in some of the pics. check the 5th pic, the one with 4 interior shots, lower staple, lots of rust. And on the lower right of the front cover there is some wear. You can see some white where green grass should be, pic 1. I collect some 1968 stuff as money allows. Good luck with your collection. Thanks again.

Re: Show Us Your Lits
Some great reading material in here. I don't have any for my 67...yet. But for Christmas a few years back I found some original magazine ads for the 1956 International S-100 that my Father in Law is restoring and framed them for him.

Re: Show Us Your Lits
Thanks to special-K and all the rest of you for sharing this stuff...no way I'll ever have a personal collection this extensive from this era...but I can wallow in this thread as much as I like.
Be warned, the oil embargo, double digit inflation, and econoboxes will change all this fun shortly. Edit on 3/25/11: (practicing using the Edit Post feature on a rainy day). While performing a lit self exam this morning, I found these two. X-8042 has a GM copyright date of 1968. X-8041 has no date. Is that the rare Bowtie driveshaft in the last pic ?

Re: Show Us Your Lits
^^ That's a great addition to this collection. I guess they needed all the help they could get to move these dogs off the lot,eh? Yeah right! I think the only reason the made that packet was so collectors could have something to buy in the future
This thread has 10x more stuff than that car brochure website some members keep posting links to. Thanks for bringing it back!
