Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Just the kind of modifications I like. I knew it looked good, but couldn't tell what exactly you changed. Had to go back and look at the older pictures to see what it looked like before. Right on.

I don't know what's going on with this post, but yes I did round the corners on the top and the cab. I'll take some more pics of it sanded. Last edited by Chevyrod; 06-02-2008 at 06:38 PM. |

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
plus shaving the rain gutters isn't as easy as it sounds. Mine are shaved, and it makes the doors look like they should be flat, but they have a natural roll to them. I would leave them on, especially with the gap for the top there.

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Its been a loooooooong time since I have posted anything new. It seems like everytime I have the money saved up to put into the blazer something comes up (Bills, Kids, Wife heck just LIFE in general. So last week I ordered a gallon of HOT ROD FLATZ paint and painted the blazer. I am going to put it back on the road for a little while. Take it to a few local shows and have some fun with it. I still have to paint the top and put the glass back in it.
Here are a few pics after paint. Last edited by Chevyrod; 11-13-2008 at 07:38 PM. |

It's good to see ya back on here. I was starting to think you gave up on your ride. Looks good in the flat black. (atleast somebody is getting to actually drive their project)

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
It's coming along but not fast enough. I plan on blocking it out this weekend and hopefully painting it in the next few weeks. Who knows if that will actually happen or not..

Thanks for all the kind words. I wasn't sure how I was going to like the Flat Black, but I think it came out pretty clean looking. I will post more pictures as I put it back together. Last edited by Chevyrod; 11-16-2008 at 01:25 PM. |

Thanks guys!!!!!!! I hope to paint the top soon and start on the interior. I'll probably go back with a gray stock looking interior. You guys have any interior suggestions? Last edited by Chevyrod; 11-18-2008 at 10:08 PM. |

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
Chevyrod, I hate to say it, but gray in that custome blazer will look plane. What are you going for? Do you want it to pop! Or just look clean?
Here is some samples for you, the first one is the pop! and the next one is clean.. Hope this may help you..

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
I agree as well. I just am struggling with what would match the yellow. Do you guys think the blazer could pull off a yellow interior like the pop example with the red blazer. I could smooth and paint the door panels and the dash the same as under the hood. Man would it be YELLOW.

Re: progress pics of 79 pro street
what are doing with the truck? are you after "pop" for shows or do you want to drive it and enjoy it? For me the retna searing colors in the interior would get old driving all the time...just a point to ponder...
