I do not like chop tops, but I can honestly say this one looks FANTASTIC!!!! Very subtle, and with the posts set at new angles, it just looks right.

Home run!

** Edit - Just looked at the pics on the web site. LOVE the dash and the tailgate mods!!

love that dash, is it out of the 57 chevy's, I would love one of these dashes in my 68. I allready have a set of gauge pods, but I'm no fabricator and that looks like a lot of work to put one of those dashes in there. I think I'm going to leave it as is, clean up the gauge pods and set them on the living room table to use as a conversation piece.

looking at the pictures, the bumpers look shaved. did you do it or did you buy them that way? thats what i am looking for

Shaved, tucked, & tweaked! Look @ the ends of the rear bumper. They roll around the body (similar to the fronts).

Just wanted to say that there are some pics of the bed on our website.But to answer the question the bed floor and tubs are raised two inches.The rear tires are 22 by HUGE.www.highgearhotrods.com

Hot damn! that's a nice truck. I agree with others the chop was done perfectly. I just picked up a 67 swb and this is very inspiring. I can't wait to get crackin on mine. I do have a question though almost everyone who bags this aggressive uses 22's in the rear but only 20's in the front why is this? Is there just too much clearance issues in the front to run 22's? Or is it just for the rake look? I have seen one truck with 22's all around, and that's kinda what I was wantin to do.

On this truck they are going for a old school hotrod look, so the rake is part of that. You see a lot of 67-72 with a staggered combo (ie 18/20 or 20/22) because it works well with the shape of the wheel openings.

Yes, the truck is in bare metal in the pics. Although we didn't need to sand off the primer from the Goodmark Bed we did cause we wanted to see it in all bare metal. I'm really glad we did too cause it looks so *****in.

We will be preping and painting it soon with Dupont Hot Hues "Retroactive" green.

We were wanting to make SEMA this year, but it looks like we won't have it finished until early next season.We will hit as many goodguys events as possible when finished.Texas is one of our favorites, so you can bet we'll be there next year.I hate to miss this years event, hope you guys have a good time.We,ll be working on the truck.

I have to agree. I normally do not like chopped 67-72 trucks. Every time I look at this one I actually forget that it has been chopped.

That means you did exactly the correct amount....

me i like em old school as hell...me personally i like staggered size on the wheels and aint nothing can beat a big ass set of dot's in the badck with ladder bars...just my two cents
