so is that whole kit for a burb?
and other than some cutting and drilling is it 99% bolt on?

Well it's not advertised as being for the burb's but the frame difference is minimal and obviously it will work.
The kit as designed is 99% bolt on with the only welding being the lower saddle/bracket for the axle. That being said with my welding background I'm really seriously considering welding the main notches into place while leaving all of the other parts bolt on. My thinking for doing so have very little with the design of the kit but my own confidence in being able to do the welding. ( Nate designed the kit for the majority of do-it yourselfers who either aren't comfortable or capable of doing the welding) I know that I should never have a reason to remove the main notch pieces and by welding them in I can in effect seal the seams which should be helpful when the frame is powder coated. I have heard of "blowouts" in the powder process from air pockets. I'd prefer welding into place rather than trying to put it back together after powder.

Just wanted to throw out a few more pics.

first one is everything on the axle mocked up to set pinion angle

This is a close up of some tig filler rod that I cut up to shim the upper mount and to pull the lower mount as snug to the axle as possible. Beacause it's round it allows the axle to still rotate for pinion set-up but makes the fit snug enough that it will hold it's place without a stand under the yoke. a couple bumps with the dead blow and she's all set. Obviously the rod will be removed once the lower pad is fully tacked into place.

just a rear shot. the pan hard bar is bolted to the frame side mount but the axle mount is just resting on the floor for now.

Maybe tomorrow or the next day I'll have the pics up of everything bolted in and bags temp. plumbed. I want to set this puppy on the gound and see if my 20's are too smal so I can ask santa for some 22's

Just wanted to let all my friends and family from the board that follow my life here know that Isobella Jane was born Sat 11/15 @5:32PM.

She's a healthy 9lbs. 3.3 Oz and scored a 9 on her APGAR. My wife has decided to give up her 1969 VW Beetle to Izzy so she's already got her own project and I hope to get the burb driving again for spring so the family can hit a few cruises in style.
Any of you with kids know how busy the first week can be but I'll try to have some pics posted in Genreal Discussion soon.

I scored a couple new leftover drywall carts that work perfect for rolling the body around and finally got it in out of the snow but my doors and front clip are still outside

I'm trying to get back to this but between being a new dad and having not one but 3 customer rigs left in the shop over there supposed exit date has left me a little cramped.
I appreciate your interest and I am feeling a little more motivated. I'll see about getting something done soon. If you feel like swinging by I'd let ya help me with a 4th door mod. Not really in my plans but you made it look sooo easy
