Re: The GSFMech Build

Before I reinstalled the engine I pulled the intake, blasted and cleared it with High temp clear. I installed a set of 3/8" pushrods/ guide plates that I had and repainted the engine. I also cleaned and repainted the trans. I like them painted black. Anyway I then reinstalled it. I blasted/ stripped/ repainted everything as needed on the way back together. This is very time consuming. It sure looks good to see the stance back where it should be

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't put a BB/400TH combo in a low hump cab on stock mounts

What intake is that? I've never seen one with a twisted carb mount.

Looking great! I like the torker intake and the detail in the engine bay. The all medium blue look is nice too.

Well I'm not sure about the lizard skin yet, I don't have the door panels in yet and I had the windows down. I should be able to give a good report when I get done and get it out on the road.

Bill I'm ready to go to CTC with it as well. Unless the sky falls I will have it there for sure.

Wow, you didn't waste any time on reassembly, I enjoy seeing your attention to detail. It all looks great. Let me know when you get your new carpet in, I'd be interested in buying your old one to get me by until I get mine done.

Thanks Chris. I sent you a PM about the carpet.

Hey how much longer before we see your trucks in print? I guess they don't tell you that. I don't want to miss it, I have a hard time keeping up being gone half the time.

He told me six months to a year and a half is the average time frame after the shoot, that was the beginning of June, so some time this year??? I hope soon, I'm not a very patient person anyways and this wait is killing me!

Re: The GSFMech Build

Time for another update. A lot has went on since I posted and I did not have a chance to take any photos of my own. A buddy of mine captured me riding around one evening and took these. I want to clean it up and get it out in the sun and take some photos when I get a chance. Anyway until then these will have to do. I have it on the road but still have lots I want to do to it and will update as I progress.

Re: The GSFMech Build

Kaleb,

I didn't want to go two tone because there are so many around like that. If I ever wanted to paint the white on I could do it easy without having to completly tear it down. I like the way the solid color looks better, to me it pops and makes the body work and trim stand out. To each his own I guess.
