Re: ojoe's crewcab shortbed build

update--got back from muffler shop yesterday. they did a good job but i dont like the mufflers, they are to loud. i had them use the stainless magna flows, sounds like glasspacks. got to change mufflers
we were able to get the inside of fenders painted and put back on along with the hood.
then it was off for the test drive and it was good, lot of power and drove good.
now only if it was finished.

The truck is looking good. I think you need to put one of those "thingeys" on top of your motor, . Just let me know when I can drop my Crewcab off to be finished, .

OJOE,... what rear disc brake kit did you use? Any part numbers you could give me would be great. Thanks.

You just can't go wrong with turbo mufflers. They seem to quiet down while cruising but really sing when you step on it, and they are cheap!

Awesome truck! How hard is it to maneuver into the parking spaces and such ?

thanks, i have not drove the truck a lot,but will seem short to me as i drive a 03 crew cab 1 ton dulley as my d/d now.
i think i may go back to muffler shop one more time and swap out the turbos for stock mufflers.
i cut in a new fuel door on the right rear this afternoon for the blazer tank

Re: ojoe's crewcab shortbed build

I have been reading this thread with interest since I just purchased a 88 V30 4x4. My question is can you shorten a 1 ton frame and not use the half ton rear section like you are doing or is using the 1/2 ton the only way to go. I havent had my truck long but a 4x4 crew cab short bed would be the bomb.
