Re: If you had $10,000... What would you do to your truck?

I'd buy my tires, then find heater controls, then cover a bench seat in black leather, then pay somebody a couple thousand to put a daily driver quality paint job on my "project truck" then assemble it with all the pieces I already have... and spend the rest on my "next project"

Enlarge the shop, buy the rest of the equipment I need to work on my trucks, then more parts trucks.

Re: If you had $10,000... What would you do to your truck?

Honestly, I'd use it as a down payment to buy a house w/ garage so I can work on it! I'm getting there, but saving $$$ for a down payment is taking a long time

To the truck itself? I'd buy one of those new 5 speed manual tranny kits that makes it basically a bolt in job, a GM performance crate 350 (a turn key one with 290HP) and take what's left, 5K? and send it to a body shop for a real nice paint job.

Re: If you had $10,000... What would you do to your truck?

I would go to Zip's in Iowa and pickup a clean, used 17 foot aluminum rolloff for my 68 dually car hauler. Anything left over would go for an auto lift so I can work on the 68 c10 swb easier.

Now, does anyone have another $10,000 ticket I can have to finish it?

Re: If you had $10,000... What would you do to your truck?

that is a great question! dreams really suck if they are not attainable for lack of cash or time. especially when you have to see so many dreams come true. 10k wouldn't go far around here, but i would definitely make love to my 72.
