Re: Project Slammed 67 longbed
The Filler is made by Evercoat and its their Z-Grip Lightweight filler. It sands WAY the hell better then Bondo.
I also use their SpotLite glazing putty for the little stuff because it wont shrink like other brands in the tube.

Re: Project Slammed 67 longbed
I did a little more work this week.
I undercoated the hood to stiffen it up for blocking. i also shaved the little mounting pads for the bowtie on the front.

Re: Project Slammed 67 longbed
Hey. Your truck is coming along nicely. Keep up the great work. I'm also a senior this year and i also have a longbed but its a 69. I think I saw your dad's A&W truck broke down at Mooney and Tulare Avenue earlier this year? Around June or July? Maybe you could give us a report on that? All i remember is it was missing a wheel and it looked like they were trying to figure out how to get that low a$$ thing up on the flatbed. Haha. Anyways its looking good and keep at it!!

Re: Project Slammed 67 longbed
Haha! what a small world! You are correct, apparently close to 9000 lbs on a 5 lug axle with 5/16 studs is to much! Unfortunately my dad and i were out of town when it happened or we would have just run over and put a couple new studs in it and limped it home. also unfourtonatly ,the towing company thought it would be wise to stare at it for 10 hours while scratching their heads they then proceeded to load it on a couple car dollies with old cracked tires. they made it a mile or so away and the dollies gave out. The cherry on top is that they are threatening to charge us for the damage to the towing equipment in saying that we did not inform them of the large weight of the vehicle. The funny thing is, our new '09 dodge cummins 4x4 weighs over 8500 lbs and they seem to tow them just fine... hmmm Needless to say we were not very impressed with this towing company END RANT

Re: Project Slammed 67 longbed
Wow, it has been a while since i did anything! I have gotten a little bit done in all this time though...
I decided that i didnt like how the motor looked, so i gave it the same treatment as the rest of the truck! I used a die grinder with carbide bits and about 200 sanding rolls and smoothed and matched all surfaces while removing unessesary tabs and such. I then primered it and hand sanded that a couple times.. Finally i ended up with this! I might have painte something else as well... More pics after work and school!
